Project

The Czech Chamber of Commerce Přerov was implementing an international project within the Erasmus + program, called NEW START UPS, together with foreign partners, MEDORO from Italy and Coopérative d’Initiative Jeunes from France.

The project was realized from 31.12.2019 to 29.6.2022.

The aim of the project was to support the application of practical business experience in education among students of secondary vocational schools and in this way to help improve the employability of graduates of secondary vocational schools in their own companies in EU countries. The project uses the results of the successfully completed international project Father and Son in the EU and wants to further develop the results of this project. With its activities, the project seeks to support the courage of secondary vocational school students to become self-employed and supports the creation of new companies and new jobs in them.

Based on the identification of needs among high school students, a joint educational program were created, which  included 10 seminars / workshops. The seminars were taught by people directly from practice, from the business environment, entrepreneurs, company managers.

The Czech Chamber of Commerce Přerov cooperated with the Secondary School of Gastronomy and Services in Přerov and the Business Academy and the Language School with the right to a state language examination.

Main activity of the project

 

  • Creation of an educational portal

The educational portal is an online platform of the project, in the framework of which a questionnaire survey was carried out and now knoledge tests are available to verify current knowledge in the given area. These tests are in the field of soft skills, economics and test focused on language skills in English.

  • Development, creation and evaluation of an innovative intergenerational educational program.

The content of the program were prepared on the basis of interviews with successful and experienced entrepreneurs about their competencies that led them to their success in business and on the basis of interviews with students of vocational schools about their knowledge of the needs for successful business. The developed intergenerational educational program were offered to other vocational schools that would be interested in expanding their school educational program.

  • Pilot verification of the educational program.

The innovative intergenerational educational program consisted of 10 topics, individual seminars were realized in one class with about 30 participants. Lecturers of seminars were real successful entrepreneurs, managers of companies. Study texts were created for all educational seminars and are available on the educational portal.

PROJECT EVALUATION

Over 70 students from secondary vocational schools from three partner countries participated in the project. They participated in a total of 30 practical educational workshops. As part of the project, several conferences were held for students and entrepreneurs, or representatives of cities and municipalities in each partner country, attended by more than 300 people.
